Joe Danby is a determined and versatile left-footed defender, currently captain of Lichfield City U18 and U21 sides for the 2024/25 season. He regularly features for the reserves, recognised for his calm yet commanding presence. Known for leadership, athleticism, and tactical awareness, Joe has steadily progressed through youth and men’s football, committed to continual development. Joe began playing at age 5 with Shifnal Europeans, later joining CS Colts. He also spent time with both Wolves and West Bromwich Albion Development Centres, consistently training and playing a year above his age group. In 2022/23, Joe joined Kidderminster Harriers, gaining valuable U23 experience and adapting to the demands of higher-level football. The following season saw him feature for both U18 and U23 squads at Rushall Olympic, where he impressed with his versatility, primarily as a centre-back and left back, but equally capable at left wingback or stepping into midfield if needed. His leadership qualities were recognised with his captaincy roles at Lichfield City in 2024/25, where his vocal communication, defensive organisation, and composure under pressure have been standout attributes.
